DD came home!!

Well this is a delayed post since she has come and gone by now, but I still wanted to get it up:)
D surprised most of our family with her arrival home for Christmas break. She genuinely wasn't planning on coming home because she had such a short break this year and my parents are going out this Spring to visit her, but we couldn't let that happen:) Max and I and my parents knew she was coming home and she planned to surprise Tucker and Brayden and my brother when she got back form the airport. I decided to surprise her with Tucker at the airport-she couldn't be the one with all of the surprises!
We had a blast spending two great weeks with her and were so sad to see her go again, but we are always excited to see what God has in store for her while she's there.

Up early to head to the airport! Thankfully he's oblivious and never asked where we were going. He was OK knowing that we were going in the car with Nama and Papa!

I can't upload the video of when she saw him, it's adorable and there were tears, so these pictures will have to do!

When we got back to my parents house and Chris got home, he was so surprised that he dropped his whole coffee mug! Brayden was having no problem snuggling with DD again!

We were supposed to go to the city one day and see the tree, etc. but it was pouring so we went to  breakfast at Chip's and bowling instead. Tucker had never been bowling and the first time he rolled the ball down he did it so fast I didn't get to help the ball along. The ball rolled SOOOO slooooowwwwlllyy down the lane and when it made it half way down, it rolled back!

Of course this was a special day so after he begged to try all the arcade games, we let him and he got this great toy...

We also went to a model train show in Fairfield. It was really cute and very fun and we were all having a great time...until about 2 minutes after I said that we should probably go because my kids were 2 minutes away from breaking something...and that's when Tucker grabbed one of the trains off the track. The front half was separated from the back and the front half was still going but partially falling off. As I was trying to get it back on, the front two cars came apart. Then my sister said another one of the cars came off. It literally was a train wreck. I just walked up to the front counter, said sorry and we left. Thankfully they weren't broken, just derailed. Ooops!!

They had this cool little tree house part and kids experience. Tucker had fun shooting the cannons, and of course that's D's favorite part too!

Our favorite breakfast place downtown just opened again so we all went out to breakfast. These two have such a cute relationship!

D got the boys jerseys and shorts from TZ and Tucker really wanted to wear his jersey to the New Year's Eve party we went too.

My brother and his girlfriend got the whole family dinner out at our favorite Habachi place and we had such a fun time, and the best chef we've had in a while!

The boys found the stash of prayer magnets we have and decorated.

A couple nights before she left, we had a sleep over, and it snowed a bunch, so clearly she insisted that we all make snow angels. Not the kids, they were asleep. Lots of crazy antics not documented but we made some seriously good snow angels!

The next day she built the tallest Zabadoo tower we've ever had. It took two tries because the kids knocked the first one down near completion. They were excited to actually be allowed to demolish the second one.

We are so thankful for the time we got to spend with you D, and we're so grateful for FaceTime and we can't wait until June!!!
